Computational Biology wing deals with high throughput omics data analysis, usage of mathematical modeling and computational simulations to understand biological systems and relationships.
The Computational biology wing, which is an intersection of biology, computer science, physics, mathematics, chemistry, and statistics focuses on multiple aspects of computational biology and bioinformatics. The objective of this group is to integrate data science for solving biological problems. Data modelling and simulation to infer connection between elements of biological networks, molecular dynamics-based simulation and analysis, revealing stress mechanism in plants and microbes through integrated approach of genomics, transcriptomics and phenomics are few focused objectives. In a broader sense, this group also aims in the development of skilled personnels in this field by collaboration and knowledge sharing.
