Md. Fahim, Research Assistant and Junior Research Scientist at CCDS, has been accepted into a fully funded PhD program at the University of Texas at Dallas for the Fall 2026 intake. His doctoral research will focus on LLM reasoning, alignment, and multimodal AI.
We are delighted to congratulate Md. Fahim, Research Assistant and Junior Research Scientist at CCDS, IUB, on his admission to a fully funded PhD program at the University of Texas at Dallas, beginning in the Fall 2026 intake.
His doctoral research will focus on three areas:
- Large Language Model (LLM) reasoning
- LLM alignment
- Multimodal AI
Fahim has been with CCDS since its inception and has been central to building what the center is today. His work has contributed to many of our publications at A*/A-ranked conferences and Q1 journals, helping establish our research presence internationally.
Beyond his own research, he has been a generous mentor to junior researchers, guiding projects, sharing what he knows, and helping build the collaborative culture that defines CCDS. That influence will outlast his time here.
He has also served as an instructor for IUB's "Coding for All" initiative, making programming more accessible to students across the university.
We will miss him, but we are proud to see him begin this next chapter. We have no doubt he will continue to do meaningful work in AI and represent CCDS and IUB well on the global stage.
Congratulations, Fahim. We look forward to everything that comes next.
