Mahdi’s paper on brain metastases segmentation was accepted as a poster at the BraTS Challenge at MICCAI 2026, and he presented it in person in Strasbourg.

We are delighted to congratulate Mahdi Islam on the acceptance of his paper, “Brain Metastases Segmentation for BraTS 2026 Task 1: A Multi-Architecture Comparison,” for poster presentation at the BraTS Brain Tumor Segmentation Challenge, held as part of MICCAI 2026 in Strasbourg, France.

Mahdi traveled to Strasbourg to present his work in person, sharing his findings with researchers from the medical image computing community. His paper compares multiple model architectures on the brain metastases segmentation task of the BraTS 2026 challenge.

MICCAI is one of the leading international conferences in medical image computing and computer-assisted intervention, and the BraTS challenge is a well-known benchmark for brain tumor segmentation. Having work accepted and presented there is a significant achievement.

Congratulations, Mahdi, on this accomplishment and on representing the center on an international stage!
