Objectives
HCI wing consists of experienced researchers in the field of Health Informatic, mHealth, and HRI. Our research involves building computational models that can recognize and interpret human affects and cognitive states. These models are then used to design digital interfaces that can simulate human affects, interact with users more efficiently and also generate appropriate behaviors in robotic systems. We are especially interested in research in health informatics and mHealth. We explore the design, development, adoption and application of IT based innovations such as wearable sensors, mobile devices, and digital platforms. These innovations enable real-time monitoring of health conditions, management and understanding of health data, as well as design and implementation of persuasive technologies that aim to change user’s health behavior. Our research emphasizes the development of such innovative solutions that are both functional and theoretically grounded.
