The title of the school is \u201c<em>DPS IUB Summer School 2024: Glimpses into the Quantum World- Information, Technology, and Applications<\/em>\u201c. The school has two parts: 1) pre-school, 2) main school. In the pre-school lectures will be delivered by the experts to make the students prepared for the main school. In the main school, guest lecturers will deliver lectures on some exciting developments in the area of quantum information theory and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following courses will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Necessary mathematics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quantum mechanics essentials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A crash course on quantum computation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geometric and holonomic quantum computation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topological phases of matter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open quantum systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completion of Linear Algebra, and Quantum Mechanics is recommended. However, in the pre-school the basics will be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The date of the pre-school is May 4-9, 2024. The main school will be held from May 11-16, 2024. With a view to achieving this goal, the following courses are offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Necessary Mathematics by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iub.ac.bd\/academics\/departments\/ps\/faculty-and-staff\/jewel.ghosh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Jewel K. Ghosh<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quantum Mechanics Essentials by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iub.ac.bd\/academics\/departments\/ps\/faculty-and-staff\/arshad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prof. M. Arshad Momen<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A crash course on quantum computation by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bracu.ac.bd\/about\/people\/tibra-ali-phd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prof. Tibra Ali<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Main School<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the main school, leading experts will deliver lectures on different topics.
